So it’s just about time for the last road course event of the year at E-town (Haunted moves was cancelled and we’re now doing something at VIR that weekend).
Anyway. Freedom Moves.

Saturday we will be starting later and going later. Gates will open at noon. And we will be driving until 10pm. The lights and generators and everything is already ordered.
Sunday will start when we wake up. So we’ll shoot for 10am but it will probably be a little later. And it will end at 6pm.
The Bar will be trackside for this event. Booze will start shortly after driving kicks off. It will be a party, so bring all your friends.
Also, if you guys haven’t been to the last events, we’re doing a little contest for Freedom Moves. We have tons of the postcard flyers with the season flyer on it and we’ve been giving them out to all the drivers at Hot Moves and at the last Night Moves.
So here’s the deal.
1. Get the cards if you don’t already have them. I gave a bunch to Nick at Elite and Matt will have a bunch at R/T so you can go to either of those places to get more.
2. Write your name on each of the cards. Make sure it’s legible. If I can’t read it, it won’t count.
3. Give them to friends/family/anyone that you know/random people on the street/hookers/cops/class mates/co-workers/etc.
4. Tell them that when they come to spectate at Freedom Moves, they should give them to the person at the gate collecting the money.
5. After Freedom Moves, whoever has the most cards turned in with their name on them, get their money back for the weekend. So you get Free drifting.
Basically, you give cards to lots of people and they come and hang out and if you have the most people coming, you get to drive for FREE.
We still have a lot more cards. Most of them will probably be at R/T, so when you’re getting your car aligned or tuned or whatever to get ready for the event, make sure to get Matt to give you some if you need more.

Well it was that time of the year, for all Honda lovers to reunite and share their interests for beautifully built and crafted ” 4 bangers “. And as previous yearsit was an amazing event over 8000 people in attendance and over 600 cars hitting the track. Laying everything on the line to see who had baddest ride hitting the black top. Cars reaching 9.0+/- seconds, ….not bad for these little 4 bangers huh?
On a cloudy day in August hundreds of Hondas met at Englishtown to see who has the baddest Honda on the East from racing to show cars. This year the theme seemed to be who had the illest stance and craziest colored scheme wheels. It was definately an epic event one of the best Honda Days in years from Mc Slick the Show Closer, Honda Day Girls to Franklin’s Imported 2006 Honda Accord Wagon ( What RHD TSX Wagon, Get the ^*%$ Outta Here ) and Lester’s 10″ up front CCW on a TSX C’mon Son who does that. All in all props to the all the participants who won trophies or not it was an unforgettable Honda Day 2010.

Construction
In the interest of universal fitment, unit size has been standardized at ?68×65mm. Fitment bolt sizes are M20-1.5P and 3/4-16 UNF. Filtration performance JIS standard is 25? whereas HKS is 20? making the Filter compatible with most standard engine requirements.
Filter Life
Under normal usage, it is recommended that the filter is changed every 6,000 miles or 6 months. For Sports driving, the recommended distance is approximately 1/3 -1/2 of the previously mentioned figure (as the engine revolutions are several times that of normal driving). However, to maintain optimum low pressure loss properties, it is recommended to change the filter every 3000 miles when an oil change is performed.

Brand new from Tomei Japan comes their titanium competition exhaust for the Evo X. The main priorities were for overall engine performance gains as opposed to just maximum peak power. The tubes size and length was carefully selected to suit each engine characteristics and to suit the cars chassis as well for maximum torque, response, and exhaust flow efficiency through the layout. It is difficult to increase the power on the EVO X with the muffler alone but this design has optimized in all ar as. The use of Titanium material with the single piping layout also helped reduced the overall weight of 15.65kg! This amazing weight reduction helps with the cars performance and handling whilst maintaining strength that Titanium.

5. Resonator Internals – The all Titanium made inner mesh tube is t=1mm ?3 P=5mm with an open slot ratio of 32.6%. With maximum weight reduction and exhaust flow being the key points you can expect the best flow rate with an addictive racing sound from this exhaust without any compromise. Unlike the usual conventional short fiberglass threads, the use of the long fiberglass thread wool was chosen for its excellent sound absorbing and excellent durability to cope with high pressure and high temperatures.
6. Spring Mounted Joints – The hook anchor points allows the springs to firmly hold the pipes together which is sufficient as it is alone but the use of the clamp bands adds that extra guarantee for a secure fitment for a reliable joint. Just like you find on very high end racing headers
7. Mid Pipe – The main purpose for this product is for pure competition performance exhaust efficiency so the racing layout design was made with bare minimum bends as possible over the entire ?80mm t=1mm Titanium piping and the 3 piece for ease of installation and weight reduction.
8. Mid Pipe Flange – The flange was made from a 6.0mm plate for strength design purposes to minimize distortions and cracks from aging to guarantee strength. This keeps the light weight design yet maintains strength equal to the factory stock design and guarantees the sealing characteristics that is required.
The 2009 Honda Civic Si is a sporty compact car with remarkable style and comfort. Equipped with a high-output 2.0 liter engine, sport-tuned suspension, stability control and roomy interior, the ‘09 Civic Si is half racecar and half family car. If that isn’t enough to intrigue you, the impressive gas mileage, kickin’ sound system with steering wheel controls, race-style seating and large trunk make this car a very fun and practical daily driver.
One downfall with the 2009 Civic Si engine is the lack of power at lower RPM’s. AEM has addressed this issue with the release of their Cold Air Intake System 21-685C. The 21-685C was specially designed to fit into the cramped engine compartment while delivering more horsepower. This is accomplished by using a custom aluminum intake tube that lowers restriction and an AEM air filter that is located away from the engine to provide cooler air to the engine.
AEM intake systems are dyno tuned and tested for specific applications. The 21-685C was dyno tested in March 2009, and showed an increase of 6.27 horsepower at 5100 rpm. This intake system comes with a gunmetal gray intake tube and an oversized AEM DRYFLOW air filter (21-203DK). The 21-203DK is a washable oil-free air filter designed for high air flow and great filtration.
